Connective Tissue Grafts
If the patient has experienced moderate to severe gum recession that involves root exposure, a common procedure that Dr. Reynolds can perform is a connective tissue graft. In this procedure, an incision is made in the roof of the patients’ mouth where underlying material, called subepithelial tissue, is removed and replaces the missing gingival tissue on the exposed roots.
