Potential damage to second molars; periodontal defect (as above + high gingival margin)
21 year old #17 impacted crown touching #18 crown, this is a risk for distal root caries on tooth #18 as well as deep space infections which can be life threatening. When the gums can only stick to the tooth below the crown because the crown is covered by enamel which is hard and slippery like glass. When the two crowns are touching there is no way the gums can seal out the bacteria.
